Information GroupVote processes
GroupVote may process the information you choose to provide, including:
- Your voter display name.
- Event and activity names and notes.
- Votes and comments.
- Photos and documents you deliberately select for an activity.
- Technical identifiers created by Apple and CloudKit so shared events and contributions work correctly.
How the information is used
This information is used for app functionality: creating events, inviting participants, displaying activities, recording votes and comments, synchronizing changes, and handling content reports.
GroupVote does not use advertising or third-party analytics, does not sell personal information, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
iCloud and sharing
GroupVote uses Apple iCloud and CloudKit to store and synchronize shared event information. When an event is shared, its information is available to the people who join that event. Apple processes this information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Your local device also keeps a cache so events can appear promptly while iCloud updates. Removing an event from your personal list hides that local copy; it does not delete the organizer’s shared event.
Photos and documents
GroupVote uses Apple’s system pickers. The app receives only the photos and documents you choose. Selected attachments are stored with the related activity so invited event participants can view them.
Reports and support messages
If you report content, GroupVote prepares an email containing the report category, optional details, and relevant event, activity, or comment identifiers. You review and send that message through your chosen email app. Support email is processed only to investigate and respond to the concern.
Your choices and deletion
- You can change your voter display name in the app.
- You can remove your own vote.
- Activity creators and event organizers have the management options shown in the app.
- Event organizers can manage participants through Apple’s sharing controls.
- You can remove a shared event from your personal event list.

Children
GroupVote is a general-audience planning app and is not directed to children. Do not use GroupVote to collect sensitive information about children.
